The Adaptive 2-axle air suspension automatically adapts the dampers to the road surface. With the optional Integral Active Steering, the rear axle steering enhances stability, increases agility and reduces the turning circle. To achieve this, the rear wheels are turned by up to 3.5 degrees.
At low speeds, rear-wheel steer means the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels. Parking in tight car parks is therefore noticeably easier. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction. This makes your BMW i7 Sedan even more stable during rapid lane changes. At the same time, the spacious second row of seats offers a high level of comfort.

As a fully electric vehicle, the BMW i7 is available in three different motor specifications. There is the BMW i7 50 xDrive Sedan, the BMW i7 60 xDrive Sedan and the extra sporty M model, the BMW i7 M70 xDrive Sedan. You can find specific figures for each type in the technical data.
A key enabler of the significantly higher charging power is the latest BMW cell technology. The further developed high voltage battery uses cylindrical cells of the sixth generation BMW eDrive technology for the first time. Compared with the previous prismatic Gen5 cells, these offer around 20 percent higher volumetric energy density, enabling more usable energy and an approximately 25 percent increase in charging performance. With an energy content of up to 112.5 kWh, the BMW i7 achieves a range of over 700 kilometres (WLTP). Currents of up to 630 amperes increase the maximum DC charging power from 195 kW to up to 250 kW, delivering full performance at both 800 volt and 400 volt High Power Charging stations. As a result, the BMW i7 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes.
